What Is On the Shelf, and What We Will Not Do

We hold no brand contract and we have no monthly quota to hit. That is not a slogan; it is the reason we can put you into a component that costs us less margin without flinching.

How the Shelf Gets Stocked

Roughly thirty shaft lines and a rotating set of head models sit in the shop at any given time. They are here because they came out of fittings well, not because a distributor offered a volume deal. Twice a year we go through the rack and pull anything that has not been specified in a real session for six months, which keeps the selection honest and keeps us from defaulting to whatever happens to be in reach.

Anything not on the shelf can be ordered. Lead times are quoted from the distributor's actual stock position on the day you ask, not from an optimistic catalogue number, and we will tell you when a component is genuinely backordered rather than letting the date slip quietly.

Iron and wedge heads Forged and cast models from the major original-equipment lines, plus two independent forging houses whose heads bend cleanly and hold their spec better than most. Stocked
Driver, fairway and hybrid heads Current and previous-generation heads from the mainstream manufacturers. Previous generation is often the better value and we say so when it is. Stocked
Steel iron shafts Roughly a dozen lines covering 85g through 130g, in both constant-weight and stepped-weight designs, with published trim charts on file for every one. Stocked
Graphite wood shafts Around twenty lines spanning 50g to 90g. Raw and uncut, so tip trimming happens here against the profile we settled on rather than arriving pre-determined. Stocked
Graphite iron shafts A smaller but growing selection. Demand for these has risen steadily among the winter-resident members, and we now keep four lines on hand year round. Stocked
Grips Rubber, corded and hybrid compounds in four core sizes, plus the oversize putter profiles. Humidity here is hard on grips and we stock accordingly. Stocked
Adapters, ferrules and weights Every current adapter standard, turned-down ferrules in three profiles, tip weights from 1g to 12g and sole weights for the common adjustable systems. Stocked
Anything else Special order with a real quoted date. Exotic and low-volume shafts typically run two to four weeks; unusual head lofts can run longer. To order

Our Position, Stated Plainly

No exclusive agreements. No manufacturer has paid for preferred placement in this shop, and none of them sees your fitting data.

No quota. Nobody here has a number of units to move by the end of the month, so nobody has a reason to steer you.

House shaft does not exist. If three different golfers leave here on three different Tuesdays with the same shaft, it is because the measurements said so.

Your old clubs are welcome. A large share of what leaves this bench is a rebuild of something the golfer already owned. It is less profitable and it is frequently the right answer.

Component pricing is what the component costs. The fitting fee is the fitting fee, the build labour is the build labour, and the parts are billed at what they are. Nothing is hidden inside a bundled number.

Bringing Your Own Components

You are welcome to supply heads, shafts or grips yourself and pay only for the build. We ask two things. First, that the components are genuine — counterfeit shafts are common in the online market and we will not install one we believe to be fake, because it is a safety issue as much as a performance one. Second, that you accept the build warranty covers our workmanship only, not the part itself.

If you are unsure whether something you bought online is authentic, bring it in. We can usually tell within a minute or two and there is no charge for looking.

Ask What We Have In

Stock moves weekly. A phone call the day before your session lets us pull likely candidates so the bay is ready when you arrive.
